Local businesses are vital to our economic health both nationally and locally. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, there were over 4,500 businesses in Etobicoke-Lakeshore, who employed approximately 80,000 people. Of these businesses, 93% employ fewer than 50 people and account for 41% of all jobs in Ward 3 – these are businesses like your local coffee shops, family run restaurants, and Mom & Pop stores.
