Located beside Ken Cox Community Centre, the new off-leash dog park is a great location for dogs of all size to run and play.

Jean Augustine Park is located at 2115 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Dr. Augustine is a prominent Etobicoke-Lakeshore community member and was the first African Canadian woman elected to the Parliament of Canada and subsequently the first black woman in a federal Cabinet.

In conjunction with the International Woman's Brass Conference at Humber College, Sunday, June 13, this was an attempt at the world’s largest brass assembly ever. The event took place on the grounds of the Assembly Hall.

Etobicoke Lakeshore is pleased to be the host of Australian football. Australian football (footy) is a variant of football played outdoors between two teams of 18 players, plus four interchange players, on large oval-shaped grass fields (often modified cricket fields), with a ball in the shape of a prolate spheroid. The Lakeshore BIA hosts another great Mimico Tulip Festival in Mimico Village. This year honoured the Toronto Police Foundation with mural for their new building on Birmingham.

Councillor Grimes makes a motion to reinstate the 507 Long Branch Streetcar route. The motion, "That the Commission request the Chief General Manager to report to the June meeting of the Commission on reinstating the 507 Long Branch streetcar route in consideration of general service options, including the feasibility of an extension of the route through to Dundas West Station as a pilot, to determine if streetcar service to Ward 6 improves." was approved.
