Etobicoke Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade Thank You

Thank you for another great year !

For 27 years, the Etobicoke Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade has been an annual tradition, marking the beginning of the holiday season for the Etobicoke-Lakeshore community. I've been honoured to participate in the parade each year throughout my time as City Councillor. Last year, Mayor John Tory joined the festivities as Grand Marshal, and this year I brought special guests Matt Black and Chuck Winters of the Toronto Argonauts, along with the Grey Cup!

The parade is a highlight for many in the community, myself included. It brings together thousands of residents, both long-time and new, from across the South Etobicoke to catch a glimpse of Santa and spend time connecting with one another.

We have many amazing businesses and community organizations in Etobicoke-Lakeshore, who also participate in and support the parade each and every year. It's truly amazing to see everyone come together to celebrate the season.

The Etobicoke Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade is a huge success each year largely due to the efforts of dedicated Committee members, as well as all those who volunteer their time to make sure the event goes smoothly for thousands of parade attendees and participants.

I'm grateful to have such an amazing opportunity to showcase the unique spirit of our community on a large scale. Each year, I co-host and provide hot chocolate for the Skate with Santa event. It is always a pleasure to meet residents and see those of all ages come by for a spin on the Colonel Samuel Smith Skating Trail. Plus, a visit from Santa helps to keep the Christmas spirit going all afternoon.

Looking forward to next year's festivities, and many more to come!
