In June 2016, City staff reported to the City of Toronto Executive Committee on Phase 1 of the study. In July, City Council directed City Staff, in partnership with Waterfront Toronto and the TTC, to initiate Phase 2 of the Waterfront Transit Reset Study, which will include further development and costing of alignment concepts, detailed analysis of transit operations and ridership, identification of priority segments, consultation with the public and stakeholders, and the creation of a Business Case and implementation strategy for delivering a coordinated waterfront transit solution. Phase 2 is anticipated to begin in late Fall 2016.
