Outdoor Pool Season is Coming up!

The City of Toronto invites residents of all ages to visit the City's splash pads, wading pools, outdoor swimming pools and beaches this summer.

Weather permitting, the following 12 outdoor pools will open across the city on Saturday, June 20 on the weekends and in the evenings: 

Etobicoke York District:

Pine Point Outdoor Pool, 15 Grierson Rd.

Sunnyside-Gus Ryder Outdoor Pool, 1755 Lake Shore Blvd. W.

West Mall Outdoor Pool, 370 The West Mall

North York District:

Goulding Community Centre, 45 Goulding Ave.

Northwood Community Centre, 15 Clubhouse Crt.

Oriole Recreation Centre, 2975 Don Mills Rd. W.

Scarborough District:

Blantyre Outdoor Pool, 180 Fallingbrook Rd.

Heron Park Outdoor Pool, 292 Manse Rd.

McGregor Park Outdoor Pool, 2231 Lawrence Ave. E.

Toronto & East York District:

Alexandra Park, 275 Bathurst St.

Alex Duff, 779 Crawford St.

Donald D. Summerville, 1867 Lake Shore Blvd. E.

All 57 outdoor pools will begin regular hours of operation on Friday, June 26 and will remain open with varying schedules until Sunday, September 6. More information about the hours of operation for the City's outdoor pools is available at: http://www.toronto.ca/swim or by calling 311.

Supervision or swimming ability requirements are in place for children under 10 years of age. Drop-in swimming is free for all ages.

Eight of Toronto's 11 swimming beaches have earned Blue Flags, making them a great choice for family fun and cooling down during the hot summer.

The Blue Flag program is a highly respected and internationally recognized eco-label for swimming beaches and identifies beaches that meet the highest criteria for excellence. More information about Blue Flags is available at: http://www.toronto.ca/health/swimsafe/beaches_blueflag.htm 

Splash pads are open across the city and will remain open until September 20. Splash pads operate daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and are activated through push-button features.  Caregivers are reminded to supervise their children at these unsupervised water play areas. 

On June 26, over 100 supervised wading pools will open for the summer. Wading pools operate with varying schedules until September 6, weather permitting. Wading pools are shallow water areas intended for children and are located in many City parks. Caregivers are reminded to supervise children at all times in these areas.
