Work Hours

Work will typically take place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with work after hours and on weekends, as required.

Disruptions

During normal working hours for this contract, the Contractor will maintain at least two (2) southbound lanes (1 'left turn' and 1 'straight') and one (1) right turn lane on Park Lawn Road at the Park Lawn and Lake Shore Boulevard West intersection, and one (1) northbound lane open at all times.

The Contractor will also maintain at least one (1) lane of westbound traffic on Lake Shore Boulevard West during normal working hours when work is carried out at the Park Lawn Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West intersection. Curb and sidewalk work will be carried out one side at a time.

As with all construction projects, there will be noise and temporary inconveniences. In order to complete the work effectively and in a safe manner, some intermittent pedestrian and vehicle traffic restrictions will be necessary. These include: detours in the sidewalk, temporary obstruction of the road by loading trucks, lane closures, temporary blockage of private driveways, and increased street traffic due to the movement of construction equipment in the area.

Parking Restrictions

Construction will require temporary closure of private driveways. Where the property has two entrances, one entrance will be kept open at all times. Further notice will be given prior to the temporary closure.

Boulevard Work

Work in the boulevard will be required to accommodate sidewalk and curb and gutter replacement. Property owners in the affected areas are reminded to remove any privately owned items from the boulevard. The City will not be responsible for damage to any privately owned items installed on the City's property.
