Ward 6 Etobicoke-Lakeshore is historically a cottage-country. It is bound on three sides by water: to the east Humber River, to the south Lake Ontario, and to the west Etobicoke Creek; finally to the north, Etobicoke- Lakeshore is bound by The QEW.
Etobicoke-Lakeshore has an abundance of parks, a flourishing arts community and outstanding recreational facilities. Ward 6 is constantly building, improving and developing to create beautiful neighbourhoods for its residents.

 

Alderwood is located in the upper west portion of Etobicoke-Lakeshore. While many of its original post WWII single family homes can still be seen, there is an increasing number of newer homes being added. The neighbourhood is home to Sir Adam Beck Junior School, Lanor Junior Middle School and the Franklin Horner Community Centre and the Alderwood Centre, home to: the Alderwood Library,  the Alderwood Action After School child care centre and the Alderwood Pool.

 

Long Branch neighbourhood is bound by two bodies of water, Lake Ontario to the south and Etobicoke Creek to the west. It reaches as far north as the CNR line and as far east as Twenty-Third Street. While it is home to many historic buildings and businesses, it is more commonly known for housing the Long Branch Loop TTC station, the Long Branch Library and the Long Branch Business Improvement Area (B.I.A.).

 

The historic town of New Toronto is located in the heart of Etobicoke- Lakeshore. It is bound by Lake Ontario to the south, Twenty-Third Street to the west, the CNR line to the north, and Dwight Avenue to the east. New Toronto is home to Humber College, the new Toronto Police College, Lakeshore College Institute, Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School, the New Toronto Library, L.A.M.P., Col. Samuel Smith Park, the Lakeshore Village B.I.A. and Ward 6's largest waterfront park.

 
Mimico is bound by Evans Avenue, Algoma Street and Manitoba Street to the north, Lake Ontario to the south, between Fleeceline Road and Louisa Street to the east, and Dwight Avenue and St. George Street to the west.

Mimico is home to Mimico Cruising Club, Etobicoke Yacht Club, Mimico Waterfront Linear Park, Mimico Tennis Club, Mimico GO Station, Mimico-By-The-Lake B.I.A., and the  Mimico Village B.I.A.


Humber Bay Shores is a new community in the Etobicoke- Lakeshore district. It is bound by Lake Ontario to the south, Humber River to the east, the CNR line to the north and Fleeceline Rd and Grand Avenue to the west.

It is home to Humber Bay Shores Park (East and West) and numerous high-rise apartment and condominium buildings.
