Nightclub and not-for-profit come together to raise food

Recently Muzik nightclub, located at Toronto Exhibition Place, got together with the Daily Bread Food Bank to generate food donations for Toronto's least fortunate. Metrolinx to Electrify GO Lines

Metrolinx, the regional transportation authority for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, has released a report recommending the electrification of the Georgetown and Lakeshore GO Transit lines. The full report can be viewed on the Metrolinx website.

MULTIMEDIA YOUTH SUMMER ART PROJECT- from Waterfront Trail Artists

Inspired Expression explores the youth’s engagement with their role models, celebrities, family  members and Canadian heroes through the visual arts. Youth ages 13 to 16 will learn a wide range of media and techniques including; drawing, painting, screen printing, mask -making and animation. 

Guest Artist Bill Buzadi will facilitate introduction to Animation.  Students will collaborate in the making of a short classically animated film and  produce a traditional digital portfolio. 

Participants will exhibit their art work at the Lakeshore Village Artists Co-op Gallery in September 2010

Start Date: 
Session One: Figure Drawing, Painting & Fabric Printing 
July  8th to July 29: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.
Time: 1:00 pm. To 3:00 pm.

Session Two: Mask Making & Animation 
August 1 to September 7: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

Update on the 501 streetcars

The TTC commission has approved the request to re-consider the route change of the current 501 Streetcar to a 507 streetcar (Long Branch to Dundas Station) or implement a Lakeshore streetcar (service just the lakeshore area) with the 2011 operating budget.
